CAUTION: Info from this app left me stranded
In a recent trip to Europe, I used this app. Firstly, it did NOT auto-scan my e-mail for flights and hotel reservations effectively, then on a connecting flight, it told me that my flight was 3 hours delayed. I trusted the app but this information was NOT TRUE and I missed my connecting flight and couldn’t get on the next flight (stand-by) and had to take the first flight leaving the next morning. I entered this new flight into the app and it told me that the new flight was also delayed by 3 hours, which WAS NOT TRUE! I contacted Tripit and was basically told, “not our fault”. There is no phone number to call, only an e-mail and you can only get someone’s attention if you are a PRO user who has paid quite a bit of money for the app (which I did).
I requested re-imbursement for my additional expenses and was shot down. I requested a refund for the app and again was shot down, I purchased the app through iTunes and when I contacted them, they were happy to help, but TRIPIT WAS NOT.
CAUTION: ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FLIGHT THE OLD FASHIONED WAY, BECAUSE TRUSTING THIS APP CAN LEAVE YOU STRANDED!
I would NOT recommend using this app.
